Eco School

At Mile Oak primary school we firmly believe in the benefits of promoting biodiversity. We believe that all pupilsladybird must be given the opportunity to interact with their environment and be aware of the impact(s) that their (human) behaviours have on their “space"

The school grounds are an integral part of the curriculuInsect1m; they are far more than the space crossed to reach the classroom. They are an amazing repository of learning resources and firsthand experiences.

The organic school garden is used both during and after school. Children experience at first hand the sowing/growing/harvesting/eating of a range of produce. It provides a safe area to insectwork together to achieve goals, use tools and simply to enjoy working outdoors.
