Year 3

Ms Burgess and Ms Wilks welcome you to Year 3!

At the start of the Juniors, children develop their independence, both in the 
classroom and around the school. It’s a big day when they leave school independently for the first time,
as they wave goodbye to their teacher at the classroom door.

Literacy and Numeracy
Literacy and Numeracy are taught daily.
They’re excited to have their own pencil cases which includes their ink pen, as they begin to join their writing!  And they love playing spelling games in their logs and choosing books independently in the classroom and the new school library.
 Great importance is put on reading daily with your child, practising tables, telling time, money, simple real life maths!
