Year 6
Following a visit to the cinema to watch 'Monster House,' the children in Year 6 worked on a project that incorporated Literacy and Design Technology. They designed and created their own monster houses and during Literacy they wrote suspense stories.

The Year 6 curriculum requires the children to be able to write persuasively. For this unit of work, the children designed their own product and produced an advert. A 'Dragon's Den' style competition was held, in which the children had to persuade an advertising company that their product was worthy of being made into a professional advert. The winners spent an afternoon at Oliver and Graimes Advertising Agency, where their advert was printed.
