Congratulations to Kai from Year 2 on his fantastic story writing work. He made everyone hungry with his description of a building with chocolate covered walls!
Our Key Stage one sewing club is going really well. So far we have been using running stitch to make bookmarks! Everyone is enjoying taking part in the club and we are all very calm and relaxed after our sessions. We are making a start on our puppets next week!
This Friday 23rd November will be a non uniform day in return for a prize donation for FOMO’s tombola at the Christmas Fair. Any ambassadors for this week may wear non uniform on Monday 26th November.
Please see our FOMO page for the latest newsletter issued today
Jasmine and Ruby from Year 4 excitedly came to visit Mr Lording this week and earned a Headteacher Award sticker. The girls had created two posters (and a song) in honour of both Anti-Bullying week and Children in Need. We felt this fantastic, creative and thoughtful work needed to be shared with everybody.
On Saturday 17th November at 10am we are holding an open morning for parents of children who start school in September 2019. There is also a chance to visit the school at 9:30am and 1:30pm on Wednesday 28th November and Monday January 18th.
Don’t forget this Friday (16th) is Children in Need day. Children can wear something spotty for a £1 donation for this fantastic cause
FOMO Fireworks have been rescheduled for Friday 23rd November. Tickets bought for the previous date are still valid. However, if you would like to purchase additional tickets they will be on sale after school next week on Mon, Tues and Weds.
Unfortunately, due to a severe weather warning the company organising tonights fireworks has been forced to postpone the event. We are working today to secure a new date and will inform you once it is confirmed. All tickets will be valid for the new date once set.
Monday 12th November is the start of Anti-Bullying week. We will be having an odd sock day as a celebration of difference! Children are encouraged to wear odd socks to school, the odder the better!
Year 5 are hoping to put on a star gazing event on the Science bus between now and Christmas. To date we haven't had much luck with hooking up with the Foredown Tower astronomers who we were hoping might come and share their knowledge, enthusiasm and telescopes with us. If you know anyone involved please ask them to contact Mr Fulcher via the school office 01273 294880
