09.05.25 Year 5 Mayan Workshop

Year 5 have had an incredible Ancient Maya day.  We have learnt so much about this unique civilisation including their beliefs, number systems and a fantastic board game of slavery and sacrifice.  We even got to sacrifice Mr McCusker - although the Maya did not actually like to do this to people.  Pok a Tok was much harder to play than we thought it would be even though we only had to use a balloon instead of the heavy Maya ball!  We ended the day by using the Maya calendars we made to find out our Maya Spirit Companion.
