28.06.23 Year Make Canopic Jars

Last week, to fit in with our Ancient Egyptian topic, Year 3 have made canopic jars. 
We used the Coil Pot method for the base and Pinch Pot method for the lid. We then used tools to add detail to the characters of a falcon, a baboon, a jackal and a human head. These were used by the Ancient Egyptians to store internal body organs in preparation for the afterlife.
