Eco committee

At Mile Oak, the Eco Committee plays a vital role in promoting environmental awareness across our school. Made up of two representatives from each class from Year 1 to Year 6, the committee brings together pupils who are passionate about caring for the environment and making a positive difference.

Members of the Eco Committee encourage and model environmentally responsible attitudes and behaviours throughout the school. They help monitor energy usage in their classrooms and support initiatives such as switching off lights, reducing waste and promoting responsible recycling.

The committee meets every half term to share ideas and plan new initiatives aimed at conserving energy and improving the school’s environmental impact. Through their efforts, the Eco Committee helps inspire the whole school community to take responsibility for protecting our planet.
