Library committee
At Mile Oak, the Library Committee plays an important role in promoting a love of reading across our school. Made up of ten dedicated Year 6 pupils, our librarians are chosen for their enthusiasm, responsibility and passion for books.
The librarians take pride in maintaining the library as an inviting and well-organised space. They are responsible for the upkeep and presentation of the library, carefully selecting and arranging books for display to inspire their peers. They also enjoy recommending books to other students, helping everyone discover new authors and genres.
As role models, our librarians demonstrate and promote positive reading habits throughout the school. They encourage younger pupils to explore books and develop a lifelong love of reading.
The Library Committee meets every half term to share ideas and plan new initiatives. These meetings help drive exciting projects and activities that further promote reading for pleasure across the whole school community.
